On behalf of a training institute for professional & personal development, we designed the corporate identity, website, imagery, all learning materials to support the training days, and took care of all other forms of communication.

institute for personal & professional development

The story here is so intricate, so abundant, it demanded to be told in beautiful but bite-sized pieces. The tone of voice needed to feel considerate, rich, inspired, filled to the brink by symbolism. To capture that complexity and wealth without overcomplicating the design was no easy feat. Layered illustrations using simple geometric shapes in limited colorschemes helped us communicate the abstract but symbolic theories of the institute. Those illustrations became the center of everything. They add depth and wonder to an otherwise straightforward branding.

When your core business is training students to become professional coaches, one can assume there will be a lot of abstract concepts involved. And boy, were there. The concepts involved in the theories and practices of coaching and personal development make for such layered and rich source materials, enriched by the presence of minds like Jung, Rudolf Steiner and Joseph Campbell. Now, for us to figure out how to translate a nuanced and abstract, layered and complex, highly conceptual story into practical, clear, inspiring and strong communication. Both internally, between teacher and student, but also externally, between institute and the world.

complete rebranding

Coming from a more playful and wavy letter, we opted to reshape the branding into a more timeless identity. We refined and simplified an already elegant letter and laid a foundation of clarity to support the abundance of symbolic imagery.

creation of content & copy

We were lucky enough to work for a client who trusted us completely on all facets of their communication. We got the chance to design, build and fill their new website, completely from scratch.

We wrote copy, we made photographs, illustrated images, designed logo-variations, icons and other navigational feats. We were careful to appeal to both private as well as corporate customers, and walked the fine but exhilirating line between outspoken and overpowering.

Plentiful but intuitive.
Inspirational but functional.

social media management

In the mostly one-dimensional sphere of social media, with its small attention span and micro-messaging, it proved a challenge to get complicated  messages across. But social media continues to be an opportunity to tell a bigger story in smaller parts. That's not only a wonderful exercise, it is an opportunity to inspire a big change in a small way.
Inspirational stories, pieces of art, fairytales, archetypes and other psychological concepts provided rich pieces of content. We used a combination of strong graphics, quotes, testimonials, abstract en symbolic visuals and photographs to tell their stories.

printed teaching materials

From lessonmaterials, to diplomas, to posters, to postcards, to notebooks and infographics or illustrations...
With our client teaching abstract and extremely personal views and notions, there are only little practical references to the concepts that are used to educate the art of coaching. The images and the graphics should reflect this abstraction, but also speak to the concepts very clearly.

creation of content & copy

When the deicision was made to take (parts of) the learning-curve to the web, there was a need to not only capture the trainers on film in an inspiring way but to translate the highly personal program partially to the (less-than-personal) interwebs. We set up an online training program that not only digitizes the concrete steps of the courses, but feels warm and true to the nature of the institute.
